July 28, 2021
Twenty-five Midrex employees recently completed the 30-hour OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Administration) industrial safety course as part of its corporate commitment to fostering a positive safety culture and to ensure that safe practices are followed at MIDREX® Plants worldwide. OSHA training classes, regardless of their length, are designed to provide worksite safety training, knowledge, and skills needed to keep workers safe from injury, debilitating accidents, and death.
“OSHA safety certification is highly valued by employers in the industrial sector,” Pike Prescott, Midrex. Environmental Health & Safety Manager, said. “We have established a Corporate Objective to train 50% of our field and laboratory personnel in OSHA 30 during 2021 and 100% by 2022. By elevating the training and awareness of our teammates, we are protecting our most valuable resource, as well as helping our worldwide clients maintain safer job sites.”
Midrex works with its Construction Partners and Process Licensees to implement and maintain pro-active safety programs, with the goal of zero work-related injuries and illnesses. Midrex follows the regulations set forth by OSHA and strives for excellence in safety by continuously reviewing and updating information pertaining to facilities and training teammates on a regular basis.
