The plant, which is listed at 400,000 metric tons per year, achieved one of the highest shaft furnace productivity per unit volume rates for a MIDREX Plant in 2006 when it produced 939,000 tons of cold DRI (CDRI).TenarisSiderca depends on its MIDREX Plant for iron units free of contaminants to supplement local scrap supply in the production of high quality oil country tubular steel.
